Normally stabled at the Phalanx Stables, Bel frequently rides him around the city for exercise, relaxation, exploration and area familiarization.
His normal equipment includes a masterwork exotic military saddle (includes straps so Bel can ride Pincer across ceilings without falling), a training whip, bedroll, and saddlebags containing an assortment of kit – camping and survival gear, rope, measuring devices, sample collecting kits (vials, nets, tweezers, etc.), field guides to various plants and monsters, sketch and mapbooks, felling axe, machete, and saw. In short, there’s enough gear to keep Bel warm and dry for several days should he be stranded, repair or rig up gear or simple field equipment, chart the location of anything interesting he might find, and have a chance to help identify same. If trouble’s expected, a set of masterwork studded leather barding has been purchased and can be added to Pincer’s gear.
Pincer’s getting a little old, but he’s still a fine horse. He’s also combat trained, knowing the attack, improved attack, come, heel, down, and stay tricks, and Bel’s equipped him with horseshoes of alchemical silver to help him lay a beatdown on anything deserving.
